Cogent Industrial Partners acquired a 29 acre industrial parcel adjacent to South Bend International Airport (SBN). The site is currently in planning stages for two (2) buildings totaling 300,000 ft.² suitable for air cargo logistics uses to include airside access. An FTZ designation is being applied for. The project is intended to fill a significant void in the air cargo facility sector within the Midwest. Buildings will be state of the art with features including 40’ clearance, trailer storage and high security.
History
For 10 years St. Joseph County, Indiana has been seeking a developer to build an air cargo logistics facility beta-test for expansion into a larger 500 acre on airport logistics campus. This under utilized parcel represents an ideal candidate.
